This Is The Kindness Shown
Yesterday, I shared how ridiculous it is to worry about inferior things when the only thing that really matters is knowing Christ.
So imagine how ridiculous it is to worry when you have people praying fervently for you.
Our dear friends, Jan and Roger Lang, and Gary and Mirtha Jones from our home church are such people. In a previous post, I talked how they have served as our mentors. They have shown us kindness in so many ways, and have been part of our large team of prayer warriors. I have chosen to highlight them here because they have specifically told me that they would pray for my job situation upon returning back to Orange County, which is still up in the air. Here's a wonderful email that I received from them just this week:

Russ, Megumi, Hana, Sei, Tomoki,
We had such a lovely time thinking of all of you and praying for you. I know that God is going to bless abundantly in your lives and you begin to say good byes and come back to Orange County. We just prayed that you would have no worries but would have absolute trust in how God will work everything out for His glory and your families best interest- we prayed for you corporately and for each of you individually. May you feel God's presence in all the happenings of your lives.

P. S. We want to get together next year at this time and recount the many ways God was able to bless and use you this year for His service and to honor and glorify His name.
Hi Russ, Megumi & kids --
Yes, indeed we had a wonderful time last night in prayer and fellowship -- for about 3 hours. We enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Jan, then moved to her office for a special time of prayer and reflection on the Bermejos'. As Jan said, we reflected on the Bermejo family collectively, then on each member -- from Russ to Tomoki -- individually.
I have to tell you that we left, totally assured that God clearly heard our prayers and knew our hearts. And, yes, Jan suggested that we meet again in exactly one year to review and celebrate how God answered our prayers. (Russ, maybe you can make some more of that super Filipino stew!)
How is my friend, Hana, doing in patiently waiting to rejoin her school friends? I know the kids have expectations about their return to the US and pray for their adjustments as well as for yours, Russ and Megumi.
Thanks for the inspiration you are to all of us. We love you very much and can hardly wait to see you again!
Love,
Gary & Mirtha (photo above)
