Happy 4th Birthday, Sei!

Today is my son, Sei's birthday. He is the big 0-4 today. Megumi will be having a small celebration with some of her family in Tokyo, while I will send him my love from here. Sei has been looking forward to his birthday for a while.

Sei is growing to be a unique boy day by day. We are seeing more "big boy" than "small boy" behavior. Sei has a growing sense of humor and loves to make people laugh by singing the Banana Boat song (Come Mr. Tally Man, and tally my bananas, day is breaking and I want to go home!) Megumi also mentioned that there was a huge storm in Tokyo yesterday, and he laughed every time there was a loud clap of thunder.

We praise God for giving us a beautiful son, our Sei Honor. Below is a prayer (from Colossians 1) for Come-Mr-Tally-Man:

So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you a complete understanding of what he wants to do in your lives, and we ask him to make you wise with spiritual wisdom. Then the way you live will always HONOR and please the Lord, and you will continually do good, kind things for others. All the while, you will learn to know God better and better.

We also pray that you will be strengthened with his glorious power so that you will have all the patience and endurance you need. May you be filled with joy, always thanking the Father, who has enabled you to share the inheritance that belongs to God's holy people, who live in the light. For he has rescued us from the one who rules in the kingdom of darkness, and he has brought us into the Kingdom of his dear Son.
