Praises

So many things to praise God for last week! Although things have gotten crazy busy for us, the fact that God has had his hand in our lives every day is not lost.

Praising God for:

- My safe return from IJM Training Week in Washington DC; for all the incredible people I met who have a heart and passion for the work of justice; for IJM and their mission throughout the world
- The R. Family for opening their home to me during Training Week; they have a spiritual gift and it is called hospitality.
- Michael & Setsu for watching our children when Megumi needed them last week; for cooking a meal for Megumi and brining it over (this was an answered prayer)
- For Hana's wonderful teacher and her friends and their parents at school; they have been an incredible support and encouragement to Hana and our family
- For Hana finishing second grade with grace and strength; she made a book mark for all her friends saying "Thank you for being my friend, love Hana).
- for meeting Pastor Danny at Starbucks on Friday and hearing vision for an aftercare home in the Philippines; I was so encourged and inspired by this brother; it is amazing how God is introducing amazing people in my path these days
- for meeting up with Trevin from Rock Harbor at another coffee house on Saturday; I met him in April during the RH Justice Prayer Gathering, and he has kept his word by praying for us and checking in; I praise God for his encouragement and prayers
- for Tiffany's blog response and her continued prayers; she helped organize the Justice Prayer Gathering at RH in April and we have been encouraged by her prayers.
- My home church, Orange Cooast Church, for giving us the opportunity to share about our plans to serve for IJM this last Saturday; for their prayer support and commitment to provide generous financial support on a monthly basis during our year (definitely answered prayer); so many brothers and sisters encoruaged us before and after the Mission Send-off Service; including the M. Family who also provided a generous support gift for our family. We are overwhelmed by all these people.
- For our friends, James & Ivy and family - they came to OCC church on Saturday to see our church send us off.
- the graduation of my nephew, Nikko and niece, Kelsey last week - they are such great kids and it is an honor to be their uncle and witness their transformation into young adulthood. They make our entire family proud. My prayer is that they "expect great things from God and attempt great things for God."
- our friends, Steve & Yuriko for coming by yesterday to pick up some our things to keep at their home for storage; Steve, who is Dr. Wet Thumb; installed our new drinking water filter system for our new tenants to enjoy.
