We're Going to Miss Irvine

We leave in exactly 14 days. We're going to miss our home in Irvine, which is consistently rated as one of the safest cities in the the country. We chose to live here because of the beautifully manicured neighborhoods, the countless parks, and the great schools (which my daughter does not attend). It is a great place to raise a family. And now Irvine is notorious for one more beautiful (?) thing. Check out the story below which I read in the Orange County Register today:
-----
Who cares most about Botox?

Orange County, Calif., according to an analysis of Internet searches by the search engine’s Google Trends (one of their many Google Labs products).

The Irvine area was the No. 1 location for people searching for online content containing the word “Botox,” Google reported each time I checked the site in recent days. The Trends tally is a dynamic measurement, so the list can change.
Orange County not only has many Botox users, but also boasts the Irvine headquarters of Botox maker Allergan.
Orange County residents also live up to their reputation as plastic surgery enthusiasts.

The Irvine area is No. 2 in searches for the phrase “plastic surgery,” only edged out for No. 1 by San Diego.
Google Trends is still being developed, so Google warns that the data “may contain inaccuracies.” But real-life rankings seem to support Trends results. Orange County has the nation’s third-highest concentration of plastic surgeons, trailing only South Florida and San Francisco.

Because Google bases its guesstimates on IP address data, the tally for the Irvine area probably includes queries originating from nearby cities.

These were the Top 10 locations for “Botox” searches, according to Google:
Irvine
Miami, Fla.
Tampa, Fla.
San Diego
Los Angeles
Phoenix, Ariz.
New York, N.Y.
Denver, Colo.
Dallas, Tex.
Pleasanton
---

And just in case you were wondering the cost of Botox, here's more helpful information I found:

Q: How Long Does Botox® Last?
A:Botox® results may last about six months, although the range varies from 3 to 12 months.

Q: Cost of Botox®
A: Your surgeon will pay $450 for each tiny vial of Botox®. Your surgeon will charge you about $200 - $300 for each area injected. Expect to pay this amount every six months to maintain your result.

Lord Jesus - save us from ourselves. Amen.
