IJM Family Day & The Beat-Down

What a great weekend it was. On Saturday, we enjoyed IJM Family Day at a local beach resort. IJM Cebu holds this event twice a year, and invites staff and their family and special friends to just relax and have fun for the day. The demands of the work places a lot of demands and challenges on family life, and its nice just to include the people who are "the wind beneath our wings." Of course, it was fun to meet the spouses, children, and relatives of those you work with. Although it rained for part of the day, our family had a great time swimming, eating, and just kicking it for a few hours. We are so grateful for the kindness and affection IJM Cebu has for our family, especially our kids. Good times! Here are some photos.




And on Sunday, I watched the violent beat-down of Dela Hoya. It was a great fight, and so many of us here and back in the states are full of Filipino-pride. I'll write about my thoughts regarding this national pride in a post later this week.
